Regular readers will notice that our blog has undergone a massive overhaul and revamp within the last few weeks. We have moved our blog from wordpress.com to a self hosted blog on our own domain. Our blog is now almost unrecognisable against our original template as we have modernised the blog and adapted a ‘magazine’ theme. It wasn’t an easy decision deciding on which theme was our favourite and so we thought we would share details of other WordPress themes that made the shortlist.
I love the social media subscribers feed and the slider change over and title. This is a very popular theme and I was very tempted by the features and positive reviews but disliked the possibility that this theme is one of the most popular themes currently and so I was worried that it may become commonplace?
Greg from Stat-Talking uses this theme really well.
This theme seemed to have a lot of impact for me, however I was worried about the large photo slider and whether my pictures would be good/large enough if taken from my phone.
Lots to like about this theme though.
This theme is simply beautiful and gives prominence to photos whilst retaining white space and clean lines.
Alina from the Fairytale Pretty Picture uses this fabulous theme.
Clean theme although I didn’t particularly think the old fashioned font used. I am sure however that this could be changed and the other features and bespoke colours and skins more than make up for it.
Another beautiful magazine theme. I really fell in love with the premium themes available and think that any of these suggested theme would be worth every single penny.
There is a lot that I loved about this theme. I loved the colourful social subscriber buttons and the menu slider pictures and title/intro, plus the modern feel and latest news scroll.
I loved the visual feel in terms of subscribers and the pictures and slider. This was our favourite theme and the one finally chosen for this blog!
Did we make the right choice? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
